Here, one God of Time collects stars, as a measurement of time, while the other labors to
give time its full measure.

 The Tree of Life is rooted deep in the earth. It is in contact

The Tree signifies regeneration, the return to the primordial state of perfection.
Associated with the tree is the snake and birds.
The snake symbolizes the unmanifested potential of the Self, and the birds mediate between
the earthly plane and the heavens.

the heavens on earth. It is here where rivers begin

 Symbolic of the life-force of
the sun
and because it i turns its face to the sun
it is considered by some to be a symbol of faith.
The sunflower 's leaves are used as a yellow dye, the seeds provide nourishment, oil
from the seeds are also used in soap
and paints and as a lubricant.
The sunflower also valuable medicinal uses.
Natives of the Inca Empire worshipped the plant
as a symbol of the Sun and Incan priestesses
wore necklaces of sunflowers made of gold.

 According to a common
Native American creation myth,
the North American continent was formed when an animal dove into the deep all-encompassing
waters and returned with mud
which was placed on Turtle's back. The soil grew and grew.
And eventually all life, whether in the water, earth or sky
had a place and lived in harmony.
On the back of Turtle is The Sun surrounded by humans,
holding hands and touching feet in praise and joy.

 Based on
the Pecos River pictographs of Native Americans in Texas. The central figure is the shaman
-- the healer and guardian. The rays from the head indicate communication between
the earthly region and the spirit world above.
In one hand is held the healing herb; on the other the arrow.
The Guardian is the master who both protects
and teaches the crafts of each.
Standing between the two pillars which hold the female
and male figures he mediates the entry into new life,
another way of being.

Apt, the wa-cow is the Egyptian representation
of the Great Mother. The mother and nurse of all,
she is symbolic of the mother of gods and men,

the goddess of childbirth.

homage to Australian Aboriginal Art.
